I’m currently the VP of Marketing at SI Tix, by Sports Illustrated. SI Tix offers over 28 million tickets to more than 100,000 sports, concerts and theater events across the globe. SI Tix puts the fan experience first – featuring transparent pricing with our exclusive $10 Flat Transaction Fee on select events when you pay with our partner Venmo, unparalleled access to the biggest events and a guaranteed 100% refund if an event is canceled for any reason. With the largest audience in the industry, the SI Tix marketplace connects more buyers and sellers than any other ticketing platform around the world
For what projects/services did your company hire AdToro, and what were your goals?
The fact that our competitors, specifically Ticketmaster & Stubhub, are major long time players in the ticketing space and are essentially synonymous to users. The main challenge will be to gain market share from these companies and establish an initial foothold in the industry. SI Tix would like to raise brand awareness, educate customers about the SI Tix platform, increase site traffic and drive conversions. Since the SI brand is essentially one of the most iconic brands in sports, we also want to show that SI Tix are able to offer experiences across ALL categories (outside of sports) — including music and theater. However, we want to accomplish this while leveraging the strength of the SI brand. We hired AdToro to help us audit, create, develop, and optimize all digital advertising efforts on Search, Social, Native, and Programmatic Advertising channels.
How Did You Select AdToro?
We interviewed a few digital marketing agencies and we went ahead with AdToro because of their passion and energy. We felt that there was excellent working chemistry. Immediately from the start, Chris and his team were eager to help with everything. They jumped right in and they often feel like a member of our internal marketing team.
Describe the scope of their work in detail.
This scope includes but is not limited to: Google Ads, Bing Ads, Facebook Ads, Instagram Ads, Twitter Ads, Snapchat Ads, TikTok Ads, Pinterest Ads, Yahoo Gemini, and Native/Programmatic Advertising DSPs Though AdToro will provide media planning and forecasting, the AD SPEND will be determined by SI Tix and then allocated across all active channels to meet internal guidelines and for optimal performance.
The following plan is built into 2 categories, ticket sales conversions and site traffic. Traffic Based Initiatives Programmatic Advertising and Display Advertising Search Engine Optimization Conversion Based Initiatives (Ticket Sales) Google Ads Bing Ads Facebook/Instagram Ads. AdToro also delivers weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting to provide transparency and work with us to optimize the campaigns.
What was the team composition?
We worked mostly with Chris, the CEO and Tyler, account manager.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
AdToro has helped us progress in our most valued KPIs from a digital advertising and organic perspective. On the advertising side, we’ve broken out our initiatives into two objectives: traffic and conversions.In our traffic campaigns, AdToro has been able to deliver millions of hyper-targeted unique users per month while staying within efficient CPC and CPM parameters.In our conversion campaigns, AdToro has consistently improved our cost/purchase on all channels while scaling up our monthly ad budget.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
We have a weekly sync and we often chat throughout the day via Slack. The workflow is very seamless and their team integrated very easily with our internal marketing team.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
