Google Explains Reasoning for Google Search Bug

For anyone tracking and developing SEO, Monday got a little strange. Yesterday afternoon the SEO community began to notice massive ranking changes in the Google search results. Many pundits assumed Google was back to their ways in changing the search algorithms. However, Google has since spoken…well Tweeted.

In a tweet today, Google announced “On Monday we detected an issue with our indexing systems that affected Google search results. Once the issue was identified, it was promptly fixed by our Site Reliability Engineers and by now it has been mitigated. Thank you for your patience!

By the time your reading this, it appears Google Search is back to business as usual.
